In The Now with Kelly Ann Vass

I'm sorry. I apologize.

Nov 06, 2020

Sorry is experienced often as a feeling of sadness, regret, shame, guilt, and remorse whereas an apology is an action.

I have observed that Canadians seem to come out of the womb apologizing for who they are. We come out of the womb apologizing for who we are! It is time for this to stop.

To say ‘I’m sorry’ as often as we do as Canadians, at some point, it is received as careless when it has every intention to be caring. I remember hearing Louise Hay say that when we say the words ‘I’m sorry’ we are apologizing for who we are. The answer in my part of the world when I say ‘I’m sorry’ is ‘it’s okay’. These are examples of reflex statements.

This became apparent to me when I visited Seattle, Washington. My family was shopping at an outlet mall going in and out of stores all afternoon. I became aware of how often I was saying ‘I’m sorry’ because the response was different. All afternoon as I...

Introducing The Octopus Methodâ„¢ by Kelly Ann Vass

May 21, 2019

I listened to a talk recently where life coach, Cheryl Richardson, was being interviewed and her message was “you are your business”. It made me reflect on wholeness. In the past couple of years, my family has been applying feng shui principles to our home and our life.  Kirsten Proulx and Janice Funston from Henry’s Interiors, a feng shui furniture store in Edmonton support and guide us with this project. The results have been more balance, ease, and a feeling of wholeness in our home and our family life. This past fall I was guided to feng shui my business. This methodology was created and guided by one of my akashic records mentors, Natasha Mott and THE mentor, Lord of the Akashic Records. Again, the messages were wholeness and “you are your business”. The process was not the easiest to explain so we asked for a way to explain how it works so that it may assist others.

My history has been one of overwhelm and burn out. I have burned out 9...

Darrel Sutton July 9, 1947 - August 2, 2018

GRATITUDE GOES OUT TO BRENDON BURCHARD WHO INSPIRED ME TO INTERVIEW THE FIRST MAN I EVER LOVED, MY FATHER. BRENDON’S TEMPLATE IS CALLED INTERVIEW SOMEONE YOU LOVE ABOUT LIFE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS; IT TRULY IS A GIFT.

My father Darrel Robert Sutton believed in the oratory and he believed in the long goodbye. I feel that his goodbye to us started in the Spring of 2007 when he experienced his first of 10 major brain bleeds. Each bleed would create a new baseline and he would learn how to make the best of it. That was Darrel. He chose to make the best of life. He was more optimistic and had more faith than fear everyday. He chose to wake up happy and to go to bed happy. He treated everything as a great and exciting adventure, especially the unexpected like running out of gas or searching for his keys or his wallet.

Just over a year ago, in February 2017, I came across Brendon Burchard’s template for Interviewing Your Loved Ones. I asked Dad if he would humour me and...

The Mastery that is Darrel Sutton

Sep 11, 2018

THIS IS A SPEECH THAT WAS WRITTEN AND GIVEN BY ME AS A TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER IN JANUARY OF 2016 FOR HIS 47 YEARS IN HIS BUSINESS: B.G.E. SERVICE AND SUPPLY LTD., THE FILTER SHOP. THIS SPEECH REMAINS TO THIS DAY, THE BEST WRITING I HAVE EVER COMPLETED, IN MY OPINION. I KNEW THAT IT REACHED THE INTENDED AUDIENCE BY THE OBSERVATION OF A TEAR BEING WIPED OFF HIS FACE WITH THE TABLE CLOTH AND HIS COMMENT AFTERWARDS: “CAN I USE SOME OF THAT?” HE ALMOST LIVED TO SEE HIS 50TH ANNIVERSARY WITH THE COMPANY HE FOUNDED AND LOVED. I WILL CELEBRATE HIS 50TH ANNIVERSARY ON OCTOBER 8, 2018.~KELLY VASS

When I was asked by my sister to say a few words on our behalf to honour my Father, I was both honoured and completely overwhelmed. How do I describe my Father? What came to mind was M&M. Now you may think this refers to one of his favourite candies; it does not. Magical and Mastery came to mind. I do not believe in coincidence and I know that it is no accident that Brendon...

Bottoms Up!

Aug 25, 2017

There have been many bottoms in my life and many bruises from the falls. There is the bottom where I thought it could not get worse and I thought that I was at rock bottom. Well, the Law of Attraction seems to be a thing and, when I focused on how awful the bottom was, I discovered that it was actually a cliff as I slipped or fell further down to another bottom. One bottom gave way to yet another until I hit solid bottom.

I imagine that my rock bottom looks different than other people’s though it may feel very similar. Mine is painful, overwhelming, tear ridden, full of resentment, blame, self-pity, and yes there is anger there. There is self-loathing and so much despair. There is desperation at my rock bottom yet my cry for help is manipulative, damaging, and abusive to all those who hear the cry; my cry lands in a similar way as the boy who cried wolf’s final yell, heard by people who ran too many times and gave too much of themselves in the past with no positive...
